Promotion

The promotion is so important I prefer Billboards to be honest. They catch your attention if they are done the correct way.Billboards are the most common form of outdoor advertising. Large and prominently placed, ad agencies are continually thinking of new and innovative ways to use them to grab the attention and imagination of their target audience, To create something fresh, you need to know what has already been done. You've seen millions of ads in your lifetime and probably know what looks, feels, and sounds stale by now. The ability to deconstruct and categorize ads is a useful skill for those who aspire to do creative work.PG 107 LANDA,R When I purchased my 2015 Versa I had yet seen this car on a billboard or anything.M billboard would be around bus stops, colleges, and on highways so that all the people that have gas guzzlers and or don't even have a car would want to check out what the 2015 Versa has to offer them. Most of the time, billboards are aimed at drivers, bikers, cyclists or pedestrians (which is why you have just a few seconds to get a message across). This causes an interesting dilemma for the advertiser; you want to get noticed, but you don’t want to be responsible for major, or even minor, accidents
A billboard is a secondary advertising medium, which means that it’s ideal for brand-building and supporting a campaign, but it just cannot do the heavy lifting. But billboards, they are the wrong medium for anything other than a quick message.

The Big Idea

The Big Idea is very important,in many ways the elements that go into differentiating cars are the same as any other business. While it may seem obvious, most businesses are not even doing a good job at the three basics. If you can make sure to keep these areas in good shape, you will by default stand head and shoulders above the rest. Quality of product Make a list of the top three or four qualities your customer looks for in your type of product and make sure you are delivering it.Quality of service,The tone with which business is conducted can make all the difference in the world. What are the most important service qualities to your product and or consumer? Is it timeliness, friendliness, personal attention, and most of all delivery absolutely. A mind map is a visual representation, diagram, or presentation of the various ways words, terms, images, thoughts, or ideas can be related to one another. A useful tool in understanding relationships and organizing thoughts, it leads to idea generation. Mapping is a brainstorming and visual diagramming tool that is used to develop an idea or lead to an idea; it is also called word mapping, idea mapping, mind mapping, word clustering, and spider diagramming. It can be used to visualize, structure, and classify ideas and as an aid in study, organization, problem solving, and decision making. The resulting visual map is a diagram used to represent thoughts, words, information, tasks, or images in a specific diagrammatic arrangement. There is a central key word or thought, and all other words or thoughts or visuals stem from and are linked to that word or thought, in a radius around that central focal point. It has been said that mapping is a visualizing technique dating to ancient Greece.PG37, LANDA,R

Competitive Analyses

The 2015 Nissan Versa is the next big thing. they are in competition with the Honda Civic, Hynudai Accent, Kia and most small Sedans. Each of these well known brands draw there consumer in but having advertising and special events to market the item. I have test driven each one of these other cars and to be honest just was not sold. I think the approach is very important along with the approach.By making the advertising as intelligent and colorful as the publication itself. In other words, make it a product demonstration on paper. Get people's noses in between the pages, and they'll stay there.” PG 20 LANDA,R
Most of the amenities fot these cars are similar however there was something different when it came to the Versa I think it has a lot to do with the delivery. Open your eyes! New stories and ways of telling them are all around us, sometimes in seemingly mundane environments. Think of it, a simple arced line curving upward on a page can make people feel hopeful.Whenever possible, be a witness to the miracle that occurs when the presentation of a visual image sets off a reaction from a viewer. When you can combine a series of far more complex images, sound, voices, and music, wow, what amazing things you can do.Be there when it happens and take notes, because using that power to illuminate your ideas is what it's all about.PG 25 LANDA, R  So many companies now days  have great ideas but they take on the wrong way to deliver the product. Why is it that so many great ideas die on a piece of paper? They “look” great, they “sound” great, and then something terrible happens. I suggest that the next time an idea turns out just the way you imagined, or better yet, way better than you imagined, first thank the great people you worked with, and second, reconstruct the events that led to that success and try to learn from them. You'll be teaching yourself to listen to what other people have to say and allowing them to make your ideas better.Knowing what made an idea come together well once has made me be more receptive to letting it happen again. And again. so this is where they need to have a creative mind and more. People do not usually say, “I don't want to be more creative.” In any discipline, from science to music, creativity is valuable. Creative thinkers have an advantage—they have nimble, flexible minds, able to solve problems in ways most cannot. You will notice that “creative” is coupled with “thinkers.” For creativity to be useful, it must be coupled with intellect, not to mention perseverance. In fact, if you study geniuses and their work—Charles Darwin, Albert Einstein, Alexander Fleming, Toni Morrison, Amadeus Mozart, Pablo Picasso, Twyla Tharp, or Frank Lloyd Wright—you will find this to be true.
Creative thinking is the ability to stretch beyond the ordinary, to be original, innovative, and flexible. People who think creatively recognize commonalities, visualize metaphorically, modify and elaborate imaginatively, and envision the unlikely. Certain behaviors promote creative thinking, such as looking for connections, observing acutely, asking questions and recognizing problems, and being open to new ideas and methodologies.PG 33 LANDA,R

2015 Nissan Versa Slogan: "The Power To Do More"

I choose to this slogan, "The Power To Do More",For the 2015 Nissan Versa. The reason why I choose this slogan is because it makes sense this car is the most affordable car in 2015. I just got this car in November of 2014, I have saved so much money on gas and now have more money to live. This car is great for traveling, running around town, great for a first time buyer and a student. When I came up with this Slogan I was thinking of how much money one will have inn their wallet once the have done their normal up keep of this car. Oil changes, brakes, gas, car washes, and etc. This car is not hard on any ones budget. I love that you are able to still enjoy life and not have to worry about how you are going to fill up the gas for your up in coming work week. The Power To Do More means just that, live life and do more while driving around in a nice brand new car. Anyone that has purchased this car like myself knows exactly what I am referring too most  new cars now days are hard on peoples budgets car insurance along with normal maintenance.Newer models for strategic planning include designers and art directors in brief construction. Assembling from the outset an integrated team (including client, planners, account managers, designers, copywriters, producers, information technology [IT] professionals, architects, interior designers, and industrial designers, among others) is more progressive, leading to broader strategic thinking, multiple perspectives, and greater collaboration. With new and emerging media, an integrated team is critical to strategic planning.PG 18 LANDA, R I want any person that buys this vehicle to be excited and happy of the experience that they take from it making the owner very happy that they bought such a reliable affordable car. Once you have owned this car for more then 30 days you naturally falls in love this all it has to offer and you understand why this car allows the owner to do more in there social life and or save a little more money. If I was to ever have to tell someone that was looking for a great starter car with a awesome warranty and great on gas and looks great the 2015 Nissan Versa is definitely the smart buy for all the right reasons. This vehicle gives you the consumer "THE POWER TO DO MORE"..... It has been proven and I know that in the future all its going to do is get better. I cant wait for the next Nissan Versa to come out to compare because truly I do not think it doesn't get any better.......An ad campaign for a shampoo might convince you that its use would leave your hair shinier or fuller, curlier or straighter, less frizzy, or more fragrant than any other that might appeal to you. For such advertising to affect you, it has to seem relevant to you, and it has to be presented through media channels that will reach you.   PG(3) LANDA, R
So when making a advertising ad make sure it is relevant to your audience.

EOC Week 5: Super Bowl 2015

I came across this commercial from this years Super Bowl game from Budweiser. I think it was the cutest video ever.  It was about this Farmer that had just got a new puppy and his horse and puppy grows a bond. One day the puppy sneaks into the trailer to go for a ride when he ends up getting out and got left behind. So the puppy was very smart he sniff his way home but on the way he came in contact with a wolf that scared him The horse felt that the pup was in danger so him and the other horses came to the pups rescue. I was so touching and I loved how they showed that even tho the pup was not one of there owns they still looked out for him because they loved him. I have lost a dog before and whenever that happens to people I know how the mom or dad of that animal feels. So many emotions are involved. I love the bond the two animals have.

EOC Week 4: Role of Women in Contemporary Advertisements

To me today women in ads are either looked at in one or two ways, a sex symbol or a Diva. I see in these three ads that I have chosen to write about that most of them have some form of sex or make one think of it. Alot of the ads of todays world  ladies are naked or if they are promoting a product   the public would be blinded due to the images before our eyes.  I have here three ladies all are smiling and this could be a simple teeth cleaning or Dentist ad but because they are naked ones eyes will  not focus on what the advertisement is trying to say.  Just like the second one where the woman is incontrol where she is a working woman and will step on whomever to get to the top of her career. All while the guy is under her foot and she is in a skirt might I add first thing I thought of wow she is doing this in pants so again it ties back into sex, well that is what I get from it. And then You have Kim Kardashian with a bottle of perfume in her hands while she is looking seductive and making you think that the perfume is some type of sex symbol, and makes men and women want to go out to buy it because you can and or look sexy after you have bought or worn it. I just don't understand why everything that has a woman on it has to be on the lines of sex or saying that a women is a control freak. Women are so much more then a sex object, we are very successful individuals we own businesses, we are Doctors, Lawyers, we are the only ones that can have a child and raise them without even thinking twice. Its sad how society always want to say a man is greater than a woman when a man is not even capable to do half that a woman can and has proven she can do. I just wish women did not have to always be looked at on the lines of having little respect. But at the same time I feel like it is a double standard meaning us women cannot complain and then continue to allow the world to treat us like this WOMEN WAKE UP CHANGE STARTS WITH US, NOT A MOMENT SOONER!!!!!

EOC Week 2: Three Examples of Questionable Ethics

This image of bread is very unethical in Advertising. They have taking something so innocent as a piece of food item and turned it into a sexual object. Children and any adult that has class wouldn't want to look at this, again some kids wouldn't understand but  the adult audience would definitely see what this company was trying to imply. Anyone that is a parent would not like the idea that there 5 year old or even teenager  would look at this on TV or in a Magazine. This is one of the most disgusting ads myself as a parent has seen I don't like it and there are many other ways they could of Advertised Bread. Not having it look like its a mans body part.  What exactly is this company trying to say to be honest I would not want to even try or care to find out. The picture turned me off and first perception is everything.  Now for the second picture of the two kids on there knees with a guy holding there heads and they have a cigarette in there mouths. Ugh it is very sexual and it is like the kid is being sexually abused I do not like it whoever can out with this has no morals at all. And for the last but not least of my favorites, the mom referring to her daughter as a tramp. I don't know how to take that to be honest a mother saying her daughter is out there and  because of her behavior she is a mom. But wait she is proud because she is raising her two kids interesting to myself.

Lemon

Volkswagen ad campaign was far from a lemon

One campaign did much more than boost sales and build a lifetime of brand loyalty. It's the 1960s ad campaign for the Volkswagen Beetle. It, and the work of the ad agency behind it, changed the very nature of advertising, from the way it's created to what you see as a consumer today. (http://www.bizjournals.com/sanjose/stories/1999/11/22/smallb7.html?page=all).
America loved 1960s Volkswagen Beetle advertising, and with good reason. In an age of blustery pitches glorifying size, power, and prestige, 1960s Volkswagen Beetle advertising was the calm voice for a different set of values. Plus, it made you smile. The understated style was introduced in 1959 by New York ad agency Doyle Dane Bernbach. Volkswagen hired the Doyle Dane Bernbach ad agency to create a campaign that would introduce the Beetle to the U.S. market in 1960.
I love how the Company makes fun of how small the car is and how if you run out of gas it easy to push. A car that was the cheapest, in three years after the powerful ad became the most expensive.
They set up this ideal car and told you why the VW wasn’t anything like it, then they bashed in the straw man by telling you how this was a good thing. The VW isn’t fast, so it doesn’t guzzle gas, burn through tires or need frequent repairs. Wait, that sounds pretty nice actually. It’s not fast, it’s smart. That was something average, every day Joes could identify with and even find desirable. (http://designshack.net/articles/graphics/the-greatest-print-campaigns-of-all-time-volkswagen-think-small/).

Also note how the car is discussed in the ads. It’s frequently referred to as a “VW” instead of a Volkswagen. Volkswagen is a mouthful that doesn’t remotely sound American. VW is cool, fresh, simple and friendly. They planted this thought in your head without you even realizing it!
